Uninstalling ALLcNET
To completely remove ALLcNET Email Server from your machine the following steps must be performed;
Server
Run ALLcNET control panel (Start:Programs:ALLcNET:ALLcNET Control Panel), click setup, in the Email service area click "Remove", in the Web service area click "Remove", click OK to close ALLcNET setup then exit from ALLcNET Control Panel.
From (Windows) Control Panel select Add/Remove Programs, select "ALLcNET" then click Add/Remove then OK. Exit from Add/Remove Programs.
If you do not have any other Java applications running on your system you may wish to remove the Java Runtime Environment. If you are unsure then just leave it installed. From (Windows) Control Panel select Add/Remove Programs, select "Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition V1.3" then click Add/Remove then OK. Exit from Add/Remove Programs.
Delete the ALLcNET directory, probably C:\ALLcNET (wherever you selected to install mail, logs etc).
Delete the ALLcNET program files (most should be gone but some may still remain) by deleting the Novato directory in Program Files, (probably in C:\Program Files\Novato).
Note: this step is only
recommended for expert users as if you make a mistake while
performing this operation your whole computer system may become
unusable. You are generally better off to skip this step. This may
leave a few unused keys in your registry but they will not have any
detrimental effects on your system.
You have been warned!
Any
remaining ALLcNET registry keys may be removed by deleting the
tree from "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novato" and
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apache Group".
